Veranix was born and raised in a travelling circus, where he learned archery and acrobatics from his parents, before his magical abilities manifested and he was recruited to study at the University of Maradaine. Returning to the city drew the attention of Willem Fenmere, Veranix\u2019s father\u2019s nemesis. Fenmere killed Veranix\u2019s father and overdosed his mother on effitte, the destructive drug Fenmere sells. Veranix uses his magic and skills to strike back at Fenmere, even stealing a delivery of magical items Fenmere was smuggling into Maradaine, becoming a true thorn in the crime boss\u2019s side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
