Groundskeeper at the University, Veranix’s closest ally

Kaiana was born on the island of Bintral, the daughter of a Druth soldier and a local Napolic woman of the Gotapa. At three years old, her father took her to Maradaine when the Druth abandoned the island to the Poasians. When he overdosed on effitte, his friend Jolen reluctantly took her in, giving her a job and space in the old university carriagehouse.  She encountered Veranix once when he tried to sneak back onto campus, and when she learned his mission to stop the effitte trade, she agreed to help him and guard his secret. She quickly became his closest friend and confidante in his fight against Fenmere.
